LOL - i've been having these items on my mind for a while!

so i'm a big stardock fan (huge huge one! LOL), but as always, one always can think of different things they want implemented in a program. i am not saying any of the following are a must, nor realistic, nor anything. they're just thoughts for my head, and if someone knows how to make them work, feel free to tell me! (i'm sure everyone has their own little modifications they'd like to their favorite program(s) and obviously no company can implement all these things! but still, this is a blog, so i thought i'd share)

natural desktop: (these could be an external download, like an extension or additional package for users who are willing to download more or have a great/fast connexion)
- i would adore a tweak that could modify (like hues/darkness-light, contrast, or other) the borders of the natural desktop borders.
- simultaneously, i'd love a tweak that could make the hue of my current windowblinds skin match this hue or the hue selected for that season.

all stardock items:
- i would love a one click program or keyboard keys config that could unload all stardock items - and potentially reload - for testing purposes, use of program that require all my cpu dedication, or other -.

that's all i can think of for now, but i may add to this as i go.

i may have stayed silent for a while, but i just posted two articles in a row! LOL and now i need to earn more connexion time (i.e. work!)

Thats the only thing I would like.

You can change the hue os WB skins already from wbconfig.

RightClick: It would be nice if RightClick accepted the Hue changes made to a WB Skin.
I would (as mentioned by many) like a SAVE function for RightClick. An easier method to configure menu text margins as text does not always line up. The file "Sort By Type" function would be very useful when a folder is treated as a menu..

Object Dock: Ability to change the Tab Font, Font Size, Font Color, and Mouseover properties.

IconX: This is my favorite Eye Candy program after WB. I have problems with OTHER programs that place graphics on the Desktop due to IconX. One example is DeskTask by Carthago. Because it's eye candy and they're more production oriented I end up losing the ability to run it.

Object Bar: I would love to see it able to compete head to head with DesktopSideBar. I know it accepts widgets now but so far I haven't been able to put together anything that's even remotely close. It may just be my lack of talent.

i know meowy, but i meant (and i know i forgot to specify it! silly me!) something that is either integrated in natural desktop or somehow a way to set up a desktop x script to automate it (let's say, according to the season for example - or anything else)

spinal: you just made me think: i noticed that wb 5 beta doesn't allow/give the option to sort out the skins anymore. i really appreciated the "from last installed date" or something option because i tend to download to test skins, and then decide if i want to keep it. as of now, i have a whole bunch of skins downloaded and do not know anymore which i enjoy and which do not work for me at this point!

lantec: agree with all your options. i would love for most stardock items that can to accept the hue applied to wb skins too! actually, i would love if all things stardock worked more cohesively (should try to type words i'm not sure how to spell! : together. like all stardock tools (widgets and such included) would have the same hue applied to it...
and as for icon x, i've replaced my use of it for avedesk and only for the info (disk size/amount of files and size of trash, etc) and yet i actually really enjoy the eyecandy in icon x. it's just that having several disk drives and being an install freak, i'd love the option for it to show what size each drive is as well as being a link to it.

once again, i don't know how "easy" it would be to implement these things, but it doesn't change the fact that i wish for it! ::

I wish I had a way to set the size of maximized windows on dual monitors that are different resolutions.

What are you using to manage your multiple monitors Koasati?

I've tried UltraMon, and the nvidia desktop management software, but neither have this option ...... do you know of any software that provides this function?

Windows FX has a way to limit the size of a miximized window and is "supposed" to be able to set the top left corner location as well. I was never able to the the top left corner part to work but it does effect maximized window size. I'm not sure if it would make any difference on dual monitors.

Sadly, WinFX ain't worth beans for this. If I set the workspace on monitor 1 [1600x1200], maxed windows on monitor 2 [1280x1024] are too large to fit on the screen. If I try setting it for monitor 2, not only are the maxed windows too small on monitor 1, but they don't use the proper coordinates on monitor 2.

It's a shame you don't have an ATI card. I don't use it myself but the hydravision utilities allow you to specify what monitor a programs window opens up on and whether or not it's maxed. It would be handy if I didn't carry my laptop back and forth. The windows I had opening on monitor 2 wouldn't show up when I tried to open them at home.

That's also possible with nvidia, and Ultramon, but there's no option to set the size and position of the window.

You can sort skins, that little button next to the refresh button in skin preview, but it's manual.

thank u scorpio logic, just saw it (duh! wonder how many things i wish for actually exist but i may not have seen yet! ::embarrassed::!)
the two monitors thing impresses me. i can't deal with two monitors. i struggle as it is with one! lol but i get your points though, it seems like a lot of people use two monitors in here...
